Most executives assume logic lives in their code. This in only a small part of it. In reality, the most critical business logic lives in configuration:

This is what makes AI safe at scale. Not more prompts. Not more dashboards. Not another model upgrade.

What executives should do next

If you’re funding AI, you'll need to add these most important questions beyond accuracy or cost:

  • Do we actually know where our business logic lives?
  • Can we see how a change in one system ripples across others?
  • Who owns logic drift when it happens?
  • Can an AI agent explain why it took an action?

If the answer is no, the problem isn’t AI maturity.

It’s logic governance.

And until that layer exists, AI projects will keep failing — not loudly, but certainly expensively.
